Andrew was raised as a third-culture kid, growing up in Asia, Europe, and the USA. Like all the great directors (he assumes), he was a total nerd in high school, which left him plenty of time to fall in love with movies. He started his filmmaking journey in college, where he found his creative voice, as well as his passion for directing. With a deep love for compelling characters, he constantly strives to diversify the identities and experiences he shows onscreen, drawing on his multicultural background to inform his approach. His work has been recognized by the ANDY’s, Addy’s, AICP, Telly’s, and The One Show. Andrew currently lives in New York City with his wife, where he enjoys getting lost on the subway, reading in the park, and endlessly rewatching “The Talented Mr. Ripley.”
